My Journal Writing Entry – Autumn
The journal topic for today is Autumn. Autumn is a cooler season that follows summer and because it is a cooler season that is why I don’t like it. I love the heat of summer.
I live in British Columbia, Canada in the Okanagan Valley, which is Canada’s only desert. Summer temperatures are hot and dry. There is no humidity here at all. When it gets hot it stays hot too for weeks at a time.
One thing we do have to watch out for is forest fires. It is very easy to start a fire here because it is so hot and dry. The ground here is very dry and one tiny spark could set off a fire in seconds.
Autumn is beautiful here in the mountains. The colours of the trees against a mountainous backdrop is just breathtaking.
