My Journal Writing Exercises - July 2009
Each day, I will post a new writing exercise on
this page. The idea behind this is that I am hoping it will get your creative
juices flowing so that you will write also. This would be great for anyone that
loves to write but suffers from writers block.
I will post my journal writing exercise based on
each days topic and also a children's story that I wrote based on that topic
too. If you would like to submit your writing exercise to me for inclusion on
this website, please email me at
bedtymetales@hotmail.com.

July 4 |
The journal topic for today
is traffic jams. Happy July 4th everyone! We here in Canada don't
celebrate July 4th. We have Canada Day on July 1st. On all Canadian long
weekends, just like anywhere else in the world, we gat terrible traffic
jams. I can remember as a child having to sit in the car for hours
before we even moved a foot. Traffic jams and summer seem to go
hand-in-hand. Anyway, I wanted to wish all my American readers a Happy
4th of July. |

The journal topic for today
is pirates. Why do we find pirates so fascinating? I think that pirates
are fascinating because of the Pirates of Caribbean movies
that Johnny Depp made. Johnny Depp's version of Captain Jack Sparrow
makes pirates seem cute, adorable, funny and silly. There are real
pirates in the world still to this date but they are anything but cute,
adorable, funny and silly. Today's pirates, just like real pirates in
the past are very dangerous. |

The journal topic for today
is movies. I have not seen a movie in quite awhile but I have heard that
the movie, The Transformers 2 is supposed to
be a good movie. I saw the first movie, The Transformers
and I actually liked it very much. |

Today is Canada Day.
Unfortunately I will not participating in any Canada Day activities but
I am happy and proud to be a Canadian. Canada is a good country to live
in and today is a good day to reflect on that. |
