My Journal Writing Entry – Forest Fires
The journal topic for today is forest fires. Last night we had a terrible lightning storm. I saw a bolt of lightning light up the whole sky and the bolt of lightning went across the sky not up and down.
I, immediately, unplugged all my computer equipment, digital phone, cell phone and mp3 player. I didn’t want to take any chances on having anything blow up on me.
Because of the lightning storm last night, there are a couple of forest fires stemming from it today. There is one on the mountain right across the street from me, there is another to the west of where I live and another one to the south. It is very dangerous at this time of year when there are lightning storms with the extreme dry heat that we have been getting.
