Hot Weather
My Journal Writing Entry – Hot Weather
The journal topic for today is hot weather. This summer has been extremely hot this year in British Columbia. We have had many days of hot weather here with temperatures over 90 degrees Fahrenheit. It has been so hot that we have had many, many forest fires all over British Columbia this summer too. In fact, we have a fire right in our backyard.
Right this minute, you can see smoke on the horizon over the whole city of Kamloops, where I live. You can barely see the mountains because of it. You can also smell smoke in the air. There are several fires on both sides of Kamloops so I am not really sure where all the smoke is coming from.
Weather this summer in the rest of Canada has been terrible this summer. It has been cold and rainy with several different storms and bad ones too. Just about a week or so ago there were several devastating tornados northwest of the city of Toronto, in Ontario.
