My Journal Writing Topic - Do you like penguins?

I do like penguins. They are cute with their flat feet and their fur that looks like they are wearing a tuxedo. I am pretty impressed with male penguins. They are the ones that actually raise their young. The female penguin hatches the egg and then she lets the male take over, while she goes off to the ocean to feed. The male penguin keeps that young one underneath him and will stand outside in sub-zero temperatures keeping their young ones warm.

When you think of the temperatures and conditions that penguins are raised in, it is amazing that penguins are able to survive at all. Penguins live in the coldest area of the Earth, the South Pole. It is very cold at the South Pole.
