My Journal Writing Entry – Sunshine

The journal topic for today is sunshine. Sunshine in Kamloops, British Columbia occurs quite frequently. We get a lot of hours of sunshine per year here. Kamloops, BC is located in the only semi-desert area of Canada. Not only do we get a lot of sunshine here, we do get a lot of hot weather here too.

This past July, we saw 23 days with temperatures above 30 degress Celsius. The month of August has also been fairly hot. We did cool down in temperatures for about two weeks but it is hot again now.

Our heat here is dry and no humidity at all. It is the nicest heat there is. This kind of heat gets right into my bones and warms me up from head to toe.
